About the Brand: IS.CHAO

IS.CHAO is the original Haute Couture brand founded by designer, ZHANG Yichao. The brand is established based on Yichao’s design style and Chinese traditional culture. It is full of Yichao’s strong personal style characteristics: Using Chinese intangible cultural heritage elements as the medium and source of inspiration, extensively combining traditional Chinese costume culture with modern fashion styling, highlighting the characteristics of oriental culture, with soft shapes, simple lines, and rich and gorgeous colors. Expressing the designer’s uniqueness to Chinese culture and fashion. Based on the insights, the national style design works with “行走的花” as the core is perfectly performed.
In recent years, IS.CHAO has launched a series of products jointly with many famous brands on the e-shop platforms, which has been highly praised and loved by the market.

Roei Derhi, founder and creative director of PLACEBO, combines a traditional fashion background with a deep understanding of technology such as CGI, AI, Blockchain and XR Roei doesn’t wait for the future to come he is creating the future of fashion!

From a young age, Roei’s tech-oriented mindset led him to constantly seek innovative ways to simplify the process of creating clothes while prioritizing ethics and sustainability. In 2016, after graduating from Shankar College, H&M handpicked him to join their design team and relocated him to Stockholm. After working in the fast fashion field and getting experience with different garment groups and costumer Roei was Inspired by the potential of technology to create a more sustainable and inclusive approach.

Roei founded PLACEBO in 2019 with the belief that fashion today shifts its practicality and is used to create content and will be utilized in new ways. He decided to create a future where high-end fashion is accessible for content creation and self-expression.

With a focus on relevant issues of the 21st century, Roei’s aesthetic reflects his dedication to designing the future with respect to the past.

Elinor McInnes, the Creative Director and Founder of Joslin is a visionary fashion designer with a diverse background that uniquely informs her brand’s ethos. Based in Melbourne, Elinor graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Design in Fashion and swiftly immersed herself in the city’s dynamic fashion industry. She embarked on a remarkable journey through various roles, including boutique work, womenswear brand management, and wholesale design development. This multifaceted experience honed her design skills and offered a comprehensive understanding of the fashion business landscape.

Elinor’s passion and creativity culminated in the founding of Joslin. The label, launched in October 2018, rapidly gained traction for its distinctive niche in the market. Elinor’s intuitive design sense addressed a gap in the fashion landscape, offering a range of versatile, sophisticated linen and ramie pieces for women seeking elevated daywear and casual event wear.

Elinor’s dedication to sustainability and transparency is integral to Joslin’s identity. As the fashion industry grapples with ethical concerns, Elinor’s commitment to responsible practices led her to carefully source materials and manufacturers with impeccable credentials. Jesse holds a MA in Menswear from the University of Westminster (London, UK) and a degree in Fashion from Kingston University (UK). In 2022, Jesse won the International Talent Support Contest (ITS) Sportswear Award powered by Lotto Sport. Jesse was awarded the Redress Design Award 2020 All Star accolade for his collaboration with The R Collective and Levi’s® for the ‘Denim Reimagined’ collection. He won the Redress Design Award 2018 Second Prize Mentorship with Orsola de Castro as well as the Hong Kong Best Prize the same year.

His work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, London Fashion Week, and W Magazine. As a member of the British Fashion Council, his goal is to re-configure solutions to the fashion industries’ monumental excess while re-framing manufacturing landscapes and consumer mindsets.

Tina Aileen

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Tina Aileen first fell in love with fashion when she studied Higher Diploma in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Now, Tina Aileen is a photographer, cinematographer, and fashion designer with a degree from Central Saint Martins’ Fashion Design Womenswear. During her time at St. Martin’s, she encountered a UK-based charity called TRAID, which inspired her to dedicate her work to eco-fashion. She believes that it is the future of fashion.

Throughout the years working as a professional photographer, shooting couples around the world, Tina is inspired to create clothing that flatters individuals with love and preserves the magnificent world she sees. She is committed to creating beautiful, sustainable clothing that is both stylish and ethical. Design is a way of solving problems with aesthetics.

“I find great satisfaction in designing items by utilising limited (sometimes weird) materials. Every item made is unique with its own story,” Tina Aileen said. “I also circulate the items as much as I can, in order to minimise waste.” Every item returned to Tina Aileen will go to Tunalien, an upcycle clothing library founded by her when she graduated from St. Martin’s. It aims to provide temporary work opportunities for people in need, particularly women suffered from domestic violence.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Arto Wong is best known for her creative and technically ambitious knitwear designs.

Wong graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2011 with a BA in Fashion and Textile Design, specialising in Knitwear Design with Technology. Upon graduating, she worked as a knitwear designer in the fashion industry. She also worked for the London fashion label Mira Mikati and Japan knitting manufactory Shima Seiki.

In 2013, Wong was awarded Champion and the Best Marketability Award at the Hong Kong Young Fashion Knitwear Designer Contest. In 2017, she won the Champion and New Talent Award at the Hong Kong Young Fashion Designer Contest with her collection “Zero to Unlimited”. In 2018, Wong established her own brand “ARTO.” and won the CreateSmart Hong Kong Young Design Talent award from the Hong Kong Design Centre.

Enzo Chan, a fashion designer with industry experience in women and menswear. Highly self-motivated and results driven. Take a keen interest in current trends and have a passion for all things fashion and clothing related. Enzo mainly studied the knitwear design streams, and joined many competitions and exhibitions. He aims to design ageless garments for customers from boys to men. With a focus on casual luxury and a constant exploration of new fabrics and functional details, each collection is the result of a combination of comfortable, durable garments in timeless styles and Enzo’s inspirations, which comes from his thoughts on stories and experiences. All garments are made with close attention to detail and quality, rejecting fast fashion. At the end of the day, Enzo’s goal is to create designs that are non-seasonal and timeless, making the garments long-lasting.

Roei Derhi, founder and creative director of PLACEBO, combines a traditional fashion background with a deep understanding of technology such as CGI, AI, Blockchain and XR Roei doesn’t wait for the future to come he is creating the future of fashion!

From a young age, Roei’s tech-oriented mindset led him to constantly seek innovative ways to simplify the process of creating clothes while prioritizing ethics and sustainability. In 2016, after graduating from Shankar College, H&M handpicked him to join their design team and relocated him to Stockholm. After working in the fast fashion field and getting experience with different garment groups and costumer Roei was Inspired by the potential of technology to create a more sustainable and inclusive approach.

Tina Aileen

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Tina Aileen first fell in love with fashion when she studied Higher Diploma in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Now, Tina Aileen is a photographer, cinematographer, and fashion designer with a degree from Central Saint Martins’ Fashion Design Womenswear. During her time at St. Martin’s, she encountered a UK-based charity called TRAID, which inspired her to dedicate her work to eco-fashion. She believes that it is the future of fashion.

Throughout the years working as a professional photographer, shooting couples around the world, Tina is inspired to create clothing that flatters individuals with love and preserves the magnificent world she sees. She is committed to creating beautiful, sustainable clothing that is both stylish and ethical. Design is a way of solving problems with aesthetics.

“I find great satisfaction in designing items by utilising limited (sometimes weird) materials. Every item made is unique with its own story,” Tina Aileen said. “I also circulate the items as much as I can, in order to minimise waste.” Every item returned to Tina Aileen will go to Tunalien, an upcycle clothing library founded by her when she graduated from St. Martin’s. It aims to provide temporary work opportunities for people in need, particularly women suffered from domestic violence.

Mountain Yam’s personal design mission is to remind people that the world is big, vibrant and full of inspiration. Yam graduated with a master’s degree in fashion design from the Institute of Textiles and Clothing at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and received certificates from the Fashion Institute of Technology and Parsons School of Design in New York.

In 2014, Yam was recognised as one of the “Next Generation of Design Talent – 40 under 40” by Perspective Magazine. In 2015, Yam received a Dynamic Style Icon Award from Jessica Code Magazine, followed by a Hong Kong Designer Award from Jessica Magazine in 2016. In 2018, Yam was selected to represent the city as part of the Belt and Road International Young Fashion Designers Showcase Tour.

Yam loves to explore the world. Through his adventures in different parts of the world, new cultural elements can be brought into his designs and inspire his customers. Apart from fashion, he also loves art & design, architecture, travel, culture & lifestyle, food & drink, fitness & pet, etc.

Yam graduated with a master’s degree in fashion design from the Institute of Textiles and Clothing at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and received certificates from the Fashion Institute of Technology and Parsons School of Design in New York.

In 2014, Yam was recognised as one of the “Next Generation of Design Talent – 40 under 40” by Perspective Magazine. In 2015, Yam received a Dynamic Style Icon Award from Jessica Code Magazine, followed by a Hong Kong Designer Award from Jessica Magazine in 2016. In 2018, Yam was selected to represent the city as part of the Belt and Road International Young Fashion Designers Showcase Tour.

Yam loves to explore the world. Through his adventures in different parts of the world, new cultural elements can be brought into his designs and inspire his customers. Apart from fashion, he also loves art & design, architecture, travel, culture & lifestyle, food & drink, fitness & pet, etc.
