The theme of Fashion Summit (HK) 2024 is “Power Up Sustainable Fashion Business”. To support and facilitate the sustainable fashion business model, also provide a platform for Hong Kong designers to show their talent, Fashion Summit (HK) takes the lead in setting up the very first “Fashion Summit Lifestyle Pop-up shop” in a Hong Kong shopping mall to encourage and support, particularly Hong Kong Young designers to run their sustainable fashion businesses.

Vickie is a dedicated and passionate fashion designer with over twenty years of experience in the industry. She is skilled in fashion design, branding, corporate uniforms, and fashion education. Her focus is on sustainable fashion, creating designs that have a positive impact on people and the planet.

In 2018, Vickie founded V Visionary Design Studio, which has earned recognition for its sustainable fashion designs. The studio’s launched her sustainable fashion brand called “V VISSI: revisit” in 2019 and its collection was recognized with the “Best of the Best” award from Red Dot Design 2020 and the “Year of Fashion” award 2020 from the International Design Award (USA). Vickie is committed to creating innovative and eco-conscious designs that make a positive impact on the world.

Vickie is also committed to social good and has volunteered in senior management for more than twenty years. She aspires to be a social innovator and curator, working towards a new norm between Fashion, Business, Community, and ECO-Conscious as “Fashion for Social Good.” She launched the project of “Look Cool Do Good” aims at collaborates, innovates, and creates sustainable possibilities among corporate clients and consumers, supported by “SIE FUND” as a ‘Social Impact Incubator.’

Karen Chan, JP is the Founder, Creative Director & Chief Fashion Designer of modern Chinese chic designer brands SPARKLE COLLECTION and SPARKLE BY KAREN CHAN. Born and raised in Hong Kong and having studied and lived in US and Canada for 15 years, Karen has a deep appreciation for both Chinese and Western art and culture, with a special passion for HK culture and the iconic cheongsam.

 

Karen apprenticed under the legendary Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritor Master Fung Yau Choi in the art of traditional cheongsam-making, and with an innate sense of style, Karen designs funky modern east-meets-west cheongsams and Tang jackets which retain the intricate Chinese traditional craftsmanship but infused with Western design concepts with regards to patterns, fabrics and wearability, injecting new life and unorthodox game-changing ideas into this priceless national heritage.

 

Karen’s contribution to society is well recognized. Besides being appointed as Justice of the Peace (JP) by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Karen received an Honorary Fellowship from the Vocational Training Council, is an appointed Council Member of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Adjunct Professor of Hong Kong Baptist University and School Advisor of the Hong Kong Metropolitan University.

 

Karen takes up various public service roles in the manufacturing as well as the Arts & Cultural sector. She is Deputy Chairman of Federation of Hong Kong Industries, Vice Chairman of Q Mark Council Committee, Chairman of Hong Kong Furniture Industry Council, Member of the Board of Directors of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Co. Ltd., and on the Board of Governors of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and the council member of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council.

Karen Chan, JP is the Founder, Creative Director & Chief Fashion Designer of modern Chinese chic designer brands SPARKLE COLLECTION and SPARKLE BY KAREN CHAN. Born and raised in Hong Kong and having studied and lived in US and Canada for 15 years, Karen has a deep appreciation for both Chinese and Western art and culture, with a special passion for HK culture and the iconic cheongsam.

 

Karen apprenticed under the legendary Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritor Master Fung Yau Choi in the art of traditional cheongsam-making, and with an innate sense of style, Karen designs funky modern east-meets-west cheongsams and Tang jackets which retain the intricate Chinese traditional craftsmanship but infused with Western design concepts with regards to patterns, fabrics and wearability, injecting new life and unorthodox game-changing ideas into this priceless national heritage.

 

Karen’s contribution to society is well recognized. Besides being appointed as Justice of the Peace (JP) by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Karen received an Honorary Fellowship from the Vocational Training Council, is an appointed Council Member of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Adjunct Professor of Hong Kong Baptist University and School Advisor of the Hong Kong Metropolitan University.

 

Karen takes up various public service roles in the manufacturing as well as the Arts & Cultural sector. She is Deputy Chairman of Federation of Hong Kong Industries, Vice Chairman of Q Mark Council Committee, Chairman of Hong Kong Furniture Industry Council, Member of the Board of Directors of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Co. Karen Chan, JP is the Founder, Creative Director & Chief Fashion Designer of modern Chinese chic designer brands SPARKLE COLLECTION and SPARKLE BY KAREN CHAN. Born and raised in Hong Kong and having studied and lived in US and Canada for 15 years, Karen has a deep appreciation for both Chinese and Western art and culture, with a special passion for HK culture and the iconic cheongsam.

 

Karen apprenticed under the legendary Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritor Master Fung Yau Choi in the art of traditional cheongsam-making, and with an innate sense of style, Karen designs funky modern east-meets-west cheongsams and Tang jackets which retain the intricate Chinese traditional craftsmanship but infused with Western design concepts with regards to patterns, fabrics and wearability, injecting new life and unorthodox game-changing ideas into this priceless national heritage.

 

Karen’s contribution to society is well recognized. Besides being appointed as Justice of the Peace (JP) by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Karen received an Honorary Fellowship from the Vocational Training Council, is an appointed Council Member of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Adjunct Professor of Hong Kong Baptist University and School Advisor of the Hong Kong Metropolitan University.

 

Karen takes up various public service roles in the manufacturing as well as the Arts & Cultural sector. She is Deputy Chairman of Federation of Hong Kong Industries, Vice Chairman of Q Mark Council Committee, Chairman of Hong Kong Furniture Industry Council, Member of the Board of Directors of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Co. Ltd., and on the Board of Governors of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and the council member of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council.

In recent years, he has been invited to serve as the creative executive director of the “Threads of Creativity – Fashion Design Competition”. Antonio Martino, was born in Campania and adopted by Rome, began his training in the capital at a young age, collaborating with significant ateliers and renowned national and international maisons.
In July 2008, he launched his eponymous brand, Antonio Martino Couture, a symbol of elegance and excellence in Made in Italy fashion. His unmistakable style embodies unconventional luxury, expressed through shirts, outerwear, daywear, cocktail dresses, and evening gowns. Innovative and sexy designs, precious fabrics, exquisite embellishments, and meticulous tailoring have always characterized the designer’s work.
The brand gained prominence in 2013 when Antonio Martino dressed singer Simona Molinari for the Sanremo Festival. The following year, Molinari returned as a guest during the duet night, earning unanimous acclaim from critics and the press as the style and elegance queen of the Ariston Theatre, thanks to the total look created by Antonio Martino.

With an eye toward tailoring, handmade and sustainable fashion, Italo is equipped with solid technical and transversal skills ranging from handcrafting to management: his training in fashion design has never been a constraint or limitation to the expression of creativity.
Italo Marseglia was born in 1990 in south of Italy. Always fascinated by great couturiers, he started to define his own particular vision of fashion especially when he attends scientific high school. Math, logic and rigore becomes bases of his own creativity.
Then he moves to Rome to attend IED and he graduated in Fashion Design in 2012. He stared an internship in haute couture at Fausto Sarli atelier – where he masters the art of tailoring dealing with manual skills and commitment to perfection. Soon Italo felt the urge to begin his personal path, renewing his perspectives and experiences by collaborating as a freelance with Italian brands. The designer had the chance to deal with many kind of fashion products. Moreover, Italo started many collaborations with many museums, theaters and public institutions both in Italy and abroad (MSC Cruises, Pfizer, PARCO ARCHEOLOGICO DEL COLOSSEO and many others).
Nowaday Italo is Coordinator of IED Rome’s Fashion design Master course.
In 2016, after so many experiences he founds his own brand. Italo returns to Rome where he establishes his studio. Marseglia stars dealing with his first collection which perfectly shows his passion for structured, perfectly tailored garments are viewable in lines and shapes of his creations.

The July 2023 thesis project, MATERIA talks about fashion-functional-inclusive designed and realised also for people with motor difficulties and disabilities.
Innovative new methods of sustainable production have been researched and developed in collaboration with various top companies in the sector.

Innovative new methods of sustainable production have been researched and developed in collaboration with various top companies in the sector.
Since November 2023 he has been in the Moncler footwear team.

Antonio Martino

Italian Designer, Brand: Antonio Martino Couture

Antonio Martino, was born in Campania and adopted by Rome, began his training in the capital at a young age, collaborating with significant ateliers and renowned national and international maisons.
In July 2008, he launched his eponymous brand, Antonio Martino Couture, a symbol of elegance and excellence in Made in Italy fashion. His unmistakable style embodies unconventional luxury, expressed through shirts, outerwear, daywear, cocktail dresses, and evening gowns. Innovative and sexy designs, precious fabrics, exquisite embellishments, and meticulous tailoring have always characterized the designer’s work.
The brand gained prominence in 2013 when Antonio Martino dressed singer Simona Molinari for the Sanremo Festival. The following year, Molinari returned as a guest during the duet night, earning unanimous acclaim from critics and the press as the style and elegance queen of the Ariston Theatre, thanks to the total look created by Antonio Martino.
Antonio Martino’s garments have also appeared on prestigious television programs on Rai 1, Rai 2, Mediaset, and Sky. Italo Marseglia is a passionate fashion designer with a multifaceted career (design, teaching, consulting), Italo lives his creative professionalism with strong enthusiasm. With an eye toward tailoring, handmade and sustainable fashion, Italo is equipped with solid technical and transversal skills ranging from handcrafting to management: his training in fashion design has never been a constraint or limitation to the expression of creativity.
Italo Marseglia was born in 1990 in south of Italy. Always fascinated by great couturiers, he started to define his own particular vision of fashion especially when he attends scientific high school. Math, logic and rigore becomes bases of his own creativity.
Then he moves to Rome to attend IED and he graduated in Fashion Design in 2012. He stared an internship in haute couture at Fausto Sarli atelier – where he masters the art of tailoring dealing with manual skills and commitment to perfection. Soon Italo felt the urge to begin his personal path, renewing his perspectives and experiences by collaborating as a freelance with Italian brands. The designer had the chance to deal with many kind of fashion products. Moreover, Italo started many collaborations with many museums, theaters and public institutions both in Italy and abroad (MSC Cruises, Pfizer, PARCO ARCHEOLOGICO DEL COLOSSEO and many others).
Nowaday Italo is Coordinator of IED Rome’s Fashion design Master course.
In 2016, after so many experiences he founds his own brand. Italo returns to Rome where he establishes his studio. Marseglia stars dealing with his first collection which perfectly shows his passion for structured, perfectly tailored garments are viewable in lines and shapes of his creations.

Young creative graduated from IED Milano fashion design/accessories in July 2023.
Intuitive, ductile, determined and enterprising dedicated to the Fashion Design of clothing, accessories, shoes, glasses, small metal parts,…
I love to range between the various styles (fashion, sport, technology, genderless, man, woman) and also in product and interior design.
In each of my projects I research and contaminate different worlds, always looking for functionality, innovation, inclusiveness, sustainability.
I always try to create new trends and not follow them.
Great management skills, organisation, excellent collaboration with large and small teams acquired thanks to professional business experience and various collaborations with creatives.
